From Paper to Platform, Logged Just Proved Itself Offshore

Logged Completes a Successful Offshore North Sea Trial Offshore Trial Success

From March 12 to April 3, 2025, N-Sea Group successfully trialled the Logged platform across two offshore projects in the North Sea. A total of 76 operational working dives were recorded using Logged.

The projects were surface-supplied air diving, with one project incorporating in-water oxygen decompression, adding complexity and providing an ideal environment to rigorously test Logged under real offshore conditions.

How the Test Was Conducted

Supervisors received a brief onboarding session, with one-on-one support available for additional clarification before, after and during operations as scenarios unfolded. Most became confident using the system within just a few dives.

A dedicated N-Sea test project was also available, allowing supervisors to simulate dive scenarios and practice with the platform.

To ensure safety and legal compliance, the original paper-based logging process was maintained, while supervisors alternated between Logged and traditional paper logs. This enabled a real-time, side-by-side comparison of both systems throughout the trial. Dive logs created using Logged were reviewed, verified, and signed by both supervisors and divers during live operations, ensuring full compliance with IMCA guidelines.
